Йоцова Пикчърс е основана от Мая Йоцова. Като режисьор и продуцент, тя развива кинематографичен стил, който черпи от нейните собствени живот и опит в различни култури. Филмите й съчетават елементи от изобразителното изкуство, експерименталното кино и традиционния документален филм.
Първият й документален филм „Grass Through Concrete - The Struggle to Protect the Red Hill Valley “ (72 мин., 2004) е показан широко в Канада. Вторият й филм „Зелена мечта“ (50 мин., 2015) откри филмовия фестивал София Biting Docs в България, прожектиран е в Канада, Австралия, Малайзия, Швейцария и беше награден за най-добър пълнометражен филм на 6-ия Международен Еко Фест, Румъния, 2016.
Росен Спасов - асоцииран продуцент
Росен Сапсов е роден в София, България през 1987. Завършва магистратура в специалността ,,Филмово и телевизионно изкуство‘‘ в НАТФИЗ ,, Кръстьо Сарафов‘‘. През 2017 защитава дисертация по ,,Кинознание, киноизкуство и телевизия‘‘ в Института за изследване на изкуствата – БАН.
В момента работи като филмов експерт в отдел ,,Международни връзки‘‘ на Българската национална филмотека. Активно пише оперативна филмова критика в редица печатни и онлайн медии. Също така продуцира и режисира свои собствени независими документални филми. Член на Съюза на българските филмови дейци от 2015. Член на Съюза на българските журналисти от 2015. Член на ФИПРЕССИ от 2019.
Iotzova Pictures is founded by Maia Iotzova. As a producer Iotzova has developed a cinematic style that draws on her intercultural perspective and mixes visual art and experimental cinema techniques with traditional documentary.
Her first documentary Grass Through Concrete - The Struggle to Protect the Red Hill Valley (72min, 2004) screened widely in Canada. Her second film Green Dream (50 min, 2015) opened the Sofia Biting Docs Film Festival in Bulgaria, screened in Canada, Australia, Malaysia, Switzerland, and was awarded Best Feature Film at the 6th International Eco Fest, Romania, 2016.
Rosen Spasov - associate producer
Rosen Spasov is born in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1987. He has a master degree in ,,Film and Television Arts’’ from the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts in Bulgaria and a Ph.D. in ,,Screen arts’’ at the Institute of Art Studies inthe Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
Currently works as a film expert in the International relations department of the Bulgarian National Film Archive. He is actively writing film criticism for a wide range of print and online media. He is also producing and directing independent documentaries and has experience in festival film distribution.
Member of the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers since 2015. Member of Bulgarian Union of Journalists since 2015. Member of FIPRESCI since 2019.
